Manaslu Trekking is currently a popular and spectacular trek in Nepal. Manaslu Trekking can start from Kathmandu through Dhading and Gorkha to the first destination, Soti Khola or Machha Khola.

Manaslu Trekking is bordered by the Tibetan Plateau of the People’s Republic of China to the northeast. Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP) to the east and mid-part of Gorkha. The major ethnicities of these areas are Bhotia (known as Lama), Gurung, and Karki, and most of the local people follow Buddhism.

Gurung, Nhubria, Tsumba, and Kutanggba are the major languages spoken by these people. The habitat of this area is rich with flora and fauna, providing 39 species of mammals, 19 types of forest vegetation, and 201 species of birds. The 756 species of plants recorded in this area date from the Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP).

The people of the Manaslu Circuit Trek, Tsum Valley Trek, Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek, Two Passes Trek, Lower Manaslu Trekking, and Rupina la Pass Trekking. Because Tsum Valley trekking areas still have a strong sense of attachment to their traditional local culture and rich natural heritage. Ancient Gumba, Mani walls, and Chhorten abundantly represent the rich culture and natural region.

Manaslu Trekking: Major Highlights

Mt. Manaslu, 8163m, the eighth-highest peak in the world, is another major region attraction. Similarly, unique landscapes, many peaks, waterfalls, forests, and lakes via Dudh Kunda, Kaltal, and Birendra Tal are other attractions of the Manaslu region.

The Manaslu route crosses the Larkya Pass (5160 M) and enters the Annapurna Region beyond Bimtang. The Manaslu Circuit Trek 2024 descends along the banks of the Dudh Khola, the milky river that spills into the Marsyangdi, joining the Annapurna Circuit Trail at Dharapani.
