An Unforgettable Journey Through Manaslu and Tsum Valley

Exploring the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley with our guide, Bashu, was an unforgettable experience. The journey was not only physically rewarding but also deeply enriching from a cultural perspective. Tsum Valley felt like a magical winter landscape, with yaks, beautiful monasteries, welcoming Tibetan communities, and breathtaking mountain scenery.

The Manaslu Circuit offered an incredible variety of landscapes, from lush rhododendron forests and rocky mountain trails to snow-covered peaks, crystal-clear rivers, and charming villages surrounded by green farmland.

Although the trek presented challenging conditions, Bashu’s experience and practical advice helped us cross the pass safely while feeling strong throughout the journey. He always paid close attention to our needs, making sure we had enough food and everything necessary for each day’s hike. Even after the trek, he kindly helped my fiancée with a problem involving her boots.

More than just a guide, Bashu became like family to us.

We are also very grateful to Chandra for kindly postponing our departure by one day when illness affected our plans.

From our very first interaction, our experience with Himalaya Guide Nepal was outstanding. Chandra was responsive, attentive, and easy to communicate with. He carefully listened to our preferences and managed every aspect of the trip with excellent organization.

The true highlight of our journey, however, was our guide, Pratap Lama. For 17 days, he looked after us with remarkable care and attention. He quickly understood our preferences and always made sure we were comfortable, well looked after, and enjoying every moment of the trek. He consistently arranged excellent teahouse accommodations and was always thinking ahead to ensure we had everything we needed.

What made Pratap truly special was his positive energy. His enthusiasm, sense of humor, and genuine enjoyment of the journey made every day more memorable. Whether it was sharing a laugh, dancing, or celebrating along the trail, his cheerful spirit was contagious and brought so much joy to our adventure.

Hidden Trails and Heartfelt Moments in Manaslu

Our Manaslu trek with Salman and Prabin was one of the most meaningful and memorable travel experiences we have ever had. Although heavy snowfall prevented us from crossing Larke Pass, our guides always prioritized safety, carefully steering us away from landslide-prone areas and guiding us along alternative paths that led to hidden villages and lesser-known trails. These unexpected routes became the most special part of the journey, allowing us to experience the Himalayas in a way that felt rare and deeply authentic.

As locals, Salman and Prabin shared invaluable insight into the region and its culture. They understood our pace and energy perfectly, leading us to quieter, more natural places and welcoming us into their world — teaching us local card games, introducing Nepali words, and highlighting small details we would never have noticed on our own.

Communication was always smooth, and from airport pickup to final drop-off, everything was handled seamlessly. Professional, Flexible, and Always Caring Staff from Himalaya Guide Nepal `

Despite booking at the last minute, everything was handled promptly and professionally. All arrangements in Kathmandu were smooth, even when bad weather delayed our trek.

Our guide, Dinesh, was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to our pace and needs. We were the only ones who had helmets, an emergency rescue rope, and an ice-axe for safety . Birsing and Lakpa were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist, including during our extra days exploring the Kathmandu Valley.
