Manaslu Circuit Trekking With Serang Gompa

We planned this trip in April 2023. From the beginning, we could ask anything, suggest adjustments, and customize everything. We had a video call on WhatsApp with Chandra Gurung, which gave us a great sense of trust and the possibilities available. We read excellent reviews about guide Dinesh Gurung, and he truly exceeded our expectations: dedicated, flexible, interested, and always seeking the best options for our group.

We appreciate the immense responsibility he took on for us. We had engaging and insightful conversations (Dinesh even holds a master’s degree in English literature). Prices were fair, with no disputes along the way; we knew exactly what was included and what wasn’t. I don’t think there’s a better choice for a Manaslu Circuit trekking. The side trip to Serang Gompa was worth the three extra days!

20 Days – Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit Trek – An Extraordinary Experience!

The Tsum Valley and Manaslu trek in Nepal, spanning 20 days from Kathmandu to Kathmandu and covering approximately 180 km plus 30-50 km of trekking, was exactly the trek I had longed to undertake. This tough, challenging, and beautifully scenic trek is rich with history and diverse cultures. The trails were not too crowded, and the tea houses were empty, providing ample opportunity to peacefully interact with the kind and gentle locals, learning about their daily life, family, and rituals. Note that the entire route relies on mule and horse transport, so some parts of the trail are littered with animal waste, attracting flies. Additionally, there are 4-5 risky landslide areas that take between 20-45 minutes to cross.

The trek was expertly organized by Mr. Chandra Gurung, owner of Himalaya Guide Nepal Pvt Ltd. He was polite and efficient in his communications, ensuring that the trek itinerary was safe and customized to my age, fitness level, and needs while maintaining flexibility for changes due to weather and other factors. Although Mr. Chandra Gurung runs a small outfit, he works diligently to design pragmatic itineraries and create excellent experiences for his customers. He provided a well-organized medical kit (the only team on the entire trek with a complete kit and an oximeter), fruits (bananas, apples, pomegranates), a duffel bag, a high-quality down jacket, and a sleeping bag. When my debit card was misplaced, he kindly organized local currency for me. After the trek, he met me at the hotel to check on my well-being, gather feedback, and hand over a beautifully framed certificate.

My trek guide was Mr. Kumar BK, a 28-year-old who was polite, professional, and highly focused on safe and responsible trekking. His wonderful and caring attitude meant he never left my side from start to finish, while patiently giving me time and space to stop repeatedly to soak in the experiences. He shared his knowledge about the people, culture, flora, and fauna. Every evening, Mr. Kumar would brief me on the next day’s plans, make necessary changes, and document the day’s progress, including medical status (overall health, oxygen levels, etc.). Most importantly, Mr. Kumar maintained 100% punctuality, offering service with a smile, and did not smoke or drink. He was an authentic trek guide and a wonderful human being, undoubtedly with a bright future ahead.

My trek porter was Mr. Lakpa Tamang, who was polite, gentle, and very caring. Throughout the trek, he took excellent care of me, warning me of any hazards, staying close, and helping me in difficult sections. He checked my room daily before departure to ensure nothing was left behind. Most importantly, Mr. Lakpa did not smoke or drink.

I strongly recommend Himalaya Guide Nepal (Mr. Chandra Gurung and his team). As mentioned, this is a small outfit, but if you are willing to be patient and respectful, you can be assured of a wonderful trek. I would trek with them again.

Manaslu Circuit Deluxe Trek-2023

We completed the Manaslu Circuit trek with Himalaya Guide Nepal (also manasluguide.com) as a couple. Our interaction with Chandra during the trip preparation was highly positive. Chandra was always prompt in his responses and took all our unconventional ideas and trip variations seriously. He ensured our trekking permits were arranged in advance (we already had the visa), so we could start immediately, even though it was a Saturday. Everything during the trip went exactly as we had planned and was to our complete satisfaction.

Our guide was Dinesh Gurung, Chandra’s brother. Dinesh proved to be an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. We felt well cared for throughout the entire trek and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He was also a fantastic conversation partner, and we learned a great deal about the country from him.

I highly recommend both Himalaya Guide Nepal and Dinesh, and I would book with them again without hesitation.

Manaslu Circuit Trek-2023

I did Manaslu Circuit Trek with the amazing guide Dinesh. The views were stunning, and since it was the off-season, we rarely saw other tourists, which was a nice change. I loved the experience! I’ll return to Nepal for another adventure with Himalaya Guide Nepal Pvt. Ltd.

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek-2022

This was my second trek with Himalaya Guide Nepal, and as expected, our Manaslu & Tsum Valley trek was fantastic from start to finish. Arranging the entire trip with Chandra via email was extremely straightforward, and once we arrived, all our needs were met from the moment we were picked up at the airport until we departed from Nepal.

Chandra also organized a two-day guided tour of Kathmandu for our group of five before the trek, allowing us to explore the old parts of the city and visit many Buddhist and Hindu temples. It was a great two days of exploration. I cannot praise our trekking guide, Bashu, enough. He took excellent care of us and ensured we had a wonderful experience throughout the trek.

After trekking with Himalaya Guide Nepal twice, I highly recommend them to anyone considering a trip to Nepal. They are simply the best.

Trip of a Lifetime

I had always dreamed of going to Nepal, so when my father-in-law invited me to join him on a trip there, I eagerly accepted. Having previously used Himalaya Guide Nepal for an Annapurna trek, he decided to rely on them again for our Manaslu trek, and I’m so glad he did. From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu until our departure, we never had to worry about rides, hotels, food, guides—everything was taken care of. The only thing we had to focus on was enjoying our trip and soaking in the beauty of Nepal.

I am truly grateful for our guide, Bashu, who ensured our safety and well-being throughout the 19 days. I had an incredible experience and highly recommend this company for anyone looking to explore Nepal. I will use them again if and when I return. Thank you, Chandra and Bashu!

Spectacular Tsum Valley Manaslu Trek 2022

Spectacular in every sense! Between October and November, I joined a five-man group to visit Nepal and trek the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit. This was my first experience in Nepal, and the service provided by Chandra from Himalaya Guide Nepal was exceptional, taking care of all our arrangements and significantly enhancing the experience by alleviating our concerns about the details. The trip was flawless, the company was fantastic, and our guide Bashu was outstanding.

Chandra’s management of the entire process was impeccably prepared and executed, from our arrival in Kathmandu until our return home. Chandra also arranged for us to explore the city with guide Manraj for two days, an experience that left me awe-struck with the wealth of information about the city and the rich cultures of Nepal. It was an amazing experience.

Our trekking guide, Bashu, was spectacular. He attended to every detail of our trek, ensuring we had a safe and enjoyable journey. Bashu shared extensive knowledge about the local cultures, which I deeply appreciated. His compassion and gracious demeanor were evident throughout the trek, making our experience even more enjoyable. As my fellow travelers have said, I can’t praise Bashu enough. He made this trip unforgettable.

The Nepali people we encountered were incredibly gracious and wonderful. We were met with kindness and care everywhere we went, creating many great memories thanks to the people. I hope to return one day for a different trek and will certainly reach out to Himalaya Guide Nepal for their excellent services. I recommend them for your trip to Nepal.

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek 19 days

Fantastic experience! In August 2022, friends invited me to join a trek they had arranged early in the year. They had previously used Himalaya Guide Nepal for a trek in 2018. The guide service was very accommodating and allowed me to join the trek even at such a late date. Our Trip Organizer, Chandra, did an excellent job of crafting a well-thought-out itinerary. At my friends’ request, Chandra included two days of guided sightseeing in Kathmandu before the trek. Our guide for these two days, Manraj, was highly knowledgeable about the history of Nepal and provided extensive information about Nepali culture and the sites we visited in Kathmandu.

Our 19-day trek of the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley was guided by Bashudev. Bashu did an exceptional job of keeping us safe, arranging local accommodations, and communicating with everyone along the way. I can’t say enough good things about Bashu. I strongly recommend Himalaya Guide Nepal if you are considering a trek in Nepal.

Excellence in Guiding and Porters!

Our Guide Dinesh Gurung assistant guide Kumar and the team did such a great job. The only issue we encountered was with Tammy, but Dinesh worked quickly to resolve it and separate the problem from the group.

Amazing Manaslu Circuit Trek

We completed the Manaslu Circuit, and it was an amazing trip. Chandra was very attentive to our needs while setting up the adventure. He listened carefully and did an excellent job organizing everything. Our guide, Dinesh, also did a fantastic job with our group. With 11 people in our group, Dinesh managed to make the experience memorable for all of us. I would HIGHLY recommend Himalaya Guide Nepal.
